Departmental BPC Plan Workshop with Morehouse College

General Information: In collaboration with NSF and Morehouse College BPCnet.org hosted an in-person Departmental BPC Plan workshop. This workshop was organized around speakers that discussed BPC Plan types and strategies, resources for developing plan goals and context, and plan activities. The workshop also included Q&A sessions, peer reviews and discussions, plan writing sessions, and an optional tour of Morehouse College.

Event Resources: Workshop Slides & How to Engage Historically Black Colleges and Universities Early and Often

Eligibility: This workshop was open to the computing department faculty and administrators that developed Departmental Plans for their department; non-academic staff; research institute personnel; Diversity, Equity, and inclusion (DEI) professionals; and leaders from other broadening participation related organizations. Registrants did not need prior experience developing Departmental BPC Plans.

Funding: This workshop was funded by NSF. Attendees were reimbursed for their travel expenses in accordance with CRA’s Travel Policy.
