Last Mile Fellowship to Broaden Computing-Related REU Participation

The Last Mile Fellowship to Broaden Computing-Related REU Participation addresses the financial barriers that prevent low-income students from engagement in REU opportunities.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) expose students to mentorship opportunities, academic career paths, valuable work experience, and in-depth exploration of subject areas. REUs can be a critical aspect of the undergraduate experience, but often, first-generation students are less likely to learn or participate. The Last Mile Education Fund is offering seven fellowships for Summer 2022 to support low-income students accepted in CS REU.

The $10,000 fellowships will be paid to the student in addition to the compensation provided by the REU site. Please visit the Last Mile Education Fund for details.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until July 2022.
