CRA-WP: Grad Cohort Workshop for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Leadership Skills (IDEALS)

At the CRA-WP Grad Cohort Workshop for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Leadership Skills (IDEALS), you will spend two days interacting with senior computing researchers and professionals, who will share pertinent information on graduate school survival skills, as well as more personal information and insights about their experiences. The workshop will include a mix of formal presentations and informal discussions and social events. By attending the IDEALS Workshop you will be able to build mentoring relationships and develop peer networks that will form the basis for ongoing activities during your graduate career and beyond.

Eligibility
Masters and Ph.D. computer science and engineering students who are attending an institution in the U.S. or its territories, or an institution in Canada. Priority will be given to applicants with expressed identities including (Alaska Native, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, LGBTQAI+, Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Other Pacific Islander, and/or Persons with Disabilities, Veterans).

Partnering
If you are a Principal Investigator (PI) or department that has eligible graduate students that would benefit from participating in Grad Cohort, you should connect with CRA-WP to discuss how you can include funds for their attendance in your proposal or departmental plan. Students will still need to apply to the conference, and be accepted.
