Travel Grants and Speaker Nominations for TCS Women Workshop at Symposium on Theory of Computing (STOC) 2022
Workshop Dates: June 20th, 2022 with a lunch/ panel on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022.
TCS Women is hosting a workshop at this year’s Symposium on Theory of Computing (STOC) in Rome, Italy. They are currently accepting applications for travel scholarships and nominations for their Rising Star Talks. The Travel Scholarships are intended for researchers at the beginning of their careers. Other applicants will be considered based on the availability of funds.
Guidelines for Travel Scholarship: If you are interested, please fill out this form by April 25th, 2022 (11:59 PM PDT). In addition, applicants will also need to submit a letter of support from their advisor to tcswomen@gmail.com. Applicants will be notified of their status by April 29th, before the early registration deadline for STOC.
Guidelines for Rising Star Talks Nominations: The Rising Star talks nominees must be senior Ph.D. students with expected graduation no later than August 2022 or a postdoc; in theoretical computer science (all topics represented at STOC are welcome); female or an underrepresented minority; and not a speaker at a previous TCS Women Spotlight Workshop. Preference will be given to speakers who are currently on the job market for postdoctoral/faculty positions or expect to be on the job market in Fall 2022. Nominations can be made through this form by May 9th, 2022.
