Upcoming Summer Opportunities with UR2PhD – Apply Now!
CRA’s UR2PhD program is working to build a robust and well-prepared computing research community.
To support emerging researchers, UR2PhD will be offering its undergraduate research training course on a condensed schedule in the summer. UR2PhD will also be reoffering its graduate student mentor training course this summer.
There are two primary pathways into UR2PhD’s courses:
- Institutional Partners – institutional partners are schools or departments that are committed to expanding their research pipeline. Partners designate a local coordinator that works to recruit and match faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. Students at institutional partners receive priority access to UR2PhD programming.
- Community Applications – students who are not at institutional partner schools can apply to participate. Prior to applying, students must identify a research team (2-4 undergraduates), mentor, and project. Applications for the summer are due by May 28, 2025.
In addition to our courses, we also offer workshops. Our next workshop, “Research and Social Good” is planned for Friday, March 28 at 1pm ET / 10am PT. We hope you’ll encourage students to register!
