Bootstrap: Algebra applies mathematical concepts and programming principles to creating a video game, and is aligned to National and State Standards for Mathematics, as well as the Computer Science Teachers Association standards and K12CS frameworks. The module can be taught as a standalone tech or CS class, or can be integrated into a mainstream math class, delivered by a math teacher with no prior CS experience. Bootstrap crafts research-based curricular modules for grades 6-12 and is built to scale. The intended level is high school and middle school students, with all materials available for free. Training is also available at a cost with price varying depending on location, size and time of the year.
